BT and Vodafone roll out M2G

BT rollout M2G

BT the UK's leading fixed line telecoms operator has placed an initial order for £118,950 to install Sabien's M2G intelligent boiler load optimisation control. The order represents the first phase of M2G installations for BT. This first phase roll out comes as a direct result of a successful Project 10 pilot which delivered savings in energy consumption and CO2 emissions of up to 36%. The buildings included in the pilot already have Building Management Systems (BMS) in place and M2G was integrated with, and complemented, the existing BMS delivering further energy savings.

Alan O'Brien, Chief Executive Officer for Sabien said:
"The deployment of M2G further demonstrates our client'scommitment to delivering on their target of reducing their carbon intensity by 80% by 2020. Our Project 10 pilots have proven to be very successful in demonstrating to our blue chip participants that reductions in energy and CO2 emission of up to 36% can be achieved using M2G. All of our Project 10 clients continue to refine their energy and carbon reduction strategies which are being driven by the Government's Carbon Reduction Committment legislation which begins in April 2010. This new legislation is accelerating the need for organisations to implement these strategies and M2G is playing a key role in achieving our clients targets"

Vodafone complete rollout of M2G

Vodafone has completed the rollout of M2G following a second contract for £56,000 to fit M2G across the UK. Vodafone commissioned Sabien's measurement and monitoring package to verify the savings delivered by M2G. Up to 13% savings were acheived and payback forecast for just 2.2 years.

Alan O'Brien, CEO Sabien Technology said: "We're delighted that yet again a blue chip company such as Vodafone has chosen our M2G technology and we look forward to working together with them to deliver the project benefits. Sabien and M2G have again delivered".

Implementing M2G into your estate

M2G can be fitted to most boilers regardless of type, age and size. By providing Sabien with the number of boilers in your estate and the annual fuel consumption and costs associated with the boilers a free business case can be provided detailing the energy cost savings and CO2 emission reductions over 5 years and the forecast payback period.
